We use energy, water, raw materials, and other resources efficiently and with a view toward a sustainable future. We address issues such as climate protection, climate adaptation, waste prevention, the circular economy, biodiversity, and the protection of ecosystems wherever they are relevant to our company and our surroundings.
From this approach, we derive specific environmental goals, measures, and key performance indicators. In this way, we make our progress visible, regularly evaluate our performance, and continuously improve our environmental management system. In doing so, we take into account significant environmental aspects, risks, and opportunities, as well as the possibilities for consciously avoiding, reducing, or specifically managing environmental impacts throughout our processes and value chain.
Top management is committed to this environmental policy and ensures that it aligns with our strategic direction and is put into practice throughout the company. All managers and employees contribute to achieving our environmental goals and effectively implementing sustainability in our day-to-day operations. We communicate this environmental policy internally and make it available in an appropriate format to customers, suppliers, contractors, government agencies, and other interested parties. We regularly review its relevance, adequacy, and effectiveness—and do so as needed—to ensure it provides lasting guidance and credibly supports our development.
